The National Audubon Society - dedicated to protecting birds, wildlife and our shared environment, and works on the national stage and locally toward restoring and protecting our natural legacy, securing funding for vital conservation programs, and preserving key natural resource protections.

Vermont Audubon - Audubon has had a grassroots presence in Vermont since the founding of "The Audubon Society of Vermont" in 1901, and has grown to over 4,000 members with 8 volunteer chapters throughout the state. Through the active engagement of volunteers at the grassroots level, Audubon Vermont has played an important role in securing key environmental protection in Vermont through environmental education, science and public policy initiatives.

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology - a nonprofit membership institution whose mission is to interpret and conserve the earth's biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds. The programs work with citizen scientists, government and nongovernment agencies across North America and beyond.

North American Breeding Bird Atlas - find out where breeding bird atlases are taking place by state, make maps with bird data for any area.

The Birds of Vermont Museum - a delightful place where visitors can learn about birds and their role in the earth's ecosystem. A private, non-profit organization, the Museum features over 450 carved birds representing 258 species.

Enaturalist - sponsored by the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, offers nature Education Programs throughout the year.

New England Hummers - a research project designed to learn more about our beautiful Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris), as well as other less common species of hummingbirds in New England.
